The Bombardier CRJ1000 is a regional jet airliner manufactured by Bombardier and based on the CRJ 900.

Bombardier began developing the CRJ1000 on February 19, 2007 as a stretched CRJ900 with up to 100 seats. The CRJ1000 completed its first production flight on July 28, 2009 in Montreal. It was supposed to enter into service in 2010; however, a month after the first flight, a rudder control problem forced the flight-test program to be grounded. The program did not restart until February 2010.

Brit Air and Air Nostrum were the CRJ1000's launch customers.

On November 10, 2010, Bombardier announced Transport Canada and European Aviation Safety Agency had awarded Aircraft Type Certificates to the CRJ1000; this meant deliveries could finally begin. On December 23, 2010, Bombardier announced the Federal Aviation Administration had also awarded a type certificate, allowing the CRJ1000 to fly in US airspace. The CRJ1000's FAA Type Certificate designation is CL-600-2E25.
