The Bombardier Dash 8 is a family of small turboprop aircraft built by Bombardier in Canada. The family of aircraft is known for having STOL capability. While originally produced by de Havilland Canada, Bombardier Aerospace took over production, after purchasing DHC from Boeing in 1992.
The variants -100, -200 and -300 have stopped production. The production numbers of the type are decreasing because customers today are opting for the ATR models.
