The cruciform tail is an aircraft tail design which consists in having the horizontal fins in the lower part of the horizontal stabilizer, which gives it a similarity to T-tail but giving more space in the top like in standard tail.
Design
In turbine jets this configuration gives enough room to place two engines in the rear fuselage like in T-taildesigns, which has become very common to see in business jets, though it can be seen in SUD Aviation Caravelle as the only jet airliner to feature this configuration.
