The De Havilland Canada Dash 8 is a family of small turboprop aircraft built by Viking Air under the name De Havilland Canada. The family of aircraft is known for having STOL capability. While originally produced by de Havilland Canada, Bombardier Aerospace took over production, after purchasing DHC from Boeing in 1992. The programme was sold off to Viking Air in late 2018 and rebranded under the name De Havilland Canada once again.
The variants -100, -200 and -300 have stopped production, leaving only the -400 in production, however Viking Air still owns the rights to the previous variants.
