The General Dynamics F-111 Aardvark was a tactical Fighter-bomber and the first operational variable sweep-wing aircraft. The F-111 was only bought by the Royal Australian Air Force.
The F-111 was in service with the US Air Force from 1967 to 1997, the latest variant was the F-111F, the Electronic Warfare variant EF-111A was in service until 1999, it had been replaced by the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor. The RAAF has flown the EF-111 from 1973 until 2010.
