Ground-Attack Aircraft are military aircraft designed to attack targets on the ground and are often deployed as close air support for allied ground forces below. They may fire at ground targets using their main machine gun, air to surface missiles, and bombs. Generally speaking, ground attack planes are usually more heavily armored, are slower, and less maneuverable than fighter class planes.
