Hampden bombers took part on the first British bombing raid over Berlin and were used during the Allied “1,000 bomber raid” or “Operation Millennium over Cologne. All in all about 1420 Hampden bombers have been built, some of them were delivered to the Soviet Union; additional Hampden bombers were exported to the Royal Australian Air Force, the Air Force of New Zealand and to the Flygvapnet, the Air Force of Sweden.
