JetBlue (B6), stylized "jetBlue", is a low-cost carrier based at John F. Kennedy International Airport's Terminal 5. They also have focus cities in Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles, Orlando, and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The airline was founded by David Neeleman in 1999 as NewAir, and started operation as JetBlue in 2000. They use mainly the Airbus A320 Family to ease maintenance, a practice similar to Southwest Airlines with the Boeing 737; and Frontier Airlines and Spirit Airlines also with the A320 family.
A big selling point for JetBlue since its inception was the installation of free DirecTV on every plane, which is still true today except now there is a much more advanced IFE system. In October 2013, the airline introduced Mint (business class); and in 2021, they started servicing flights from JFK to London (both London Heathrow Airport and London Gatwick Airport).
