The Junkers Flugzeugwerke AG/Junkers Motorenbau GmbH was a company by the german business man,
inventor, engineer and aviation pioneer Hugo Junkers. He received his first aviation patent in 1910. In the year 1913 he founded an engine factory in Magdeburg, which existed only until 1915. The Junkers Motorenbau GmbH was founded in 1923 in Dessau. The company got most successful during World War II, while it developed advanced aircraft and jet engines.
