The Mitsubishi MRJ (Mitsubishi Regional Jet) is a commerically competitive regionaljet from Mitsubishi. It represents the first major foray of Japan into the international jetliner marketplace. At its introduction, MRJ orders have eaten into the marketshares of Embraer and Bombardier Aerospace, the dominant players in the RJ market.
