The Mitsubishi SpaceJet (Foremerly MRJ) is a commerically competitive regional jet from Mitsubishi. It represents the first major foray of Japan into the international jetliner marketplace. At its introduction, SpaceJet orders have eaten into the market-shares of Embraer and Bombardier, the then-dominant players in the regional market.
The program was renamed from MRJ to Spacejet in mid 2019.
