History

They first started with the creation of Divisao dos Transportes Aeros de Angola (Angola Aerial Transport Division) in 1938. With a fleet of five small aircraft, they had few destinations to some African cities. In 1948, they began their Douglas DC-3 operations in Angola. During the 1970’s Angola achieved its independence from Portugal and services of Boeing 737 started.
