TRANSPORTES AÉREOS DEL CONTINENTE AMERICANO (TACA) is an airline based in Comalapa International Airport in the city of San Luis Talpa, El Salvador. It currently operates under the name of Colombian carrier Avianca.

  • In May 24, 1988 a Boeing 737 miraculously landed in a little island in New Orleans, Louisiana after reporting fire in one of the engines.
  • In May 30, 2009 an Airbus A320 crashed after leaving the runway during a landing in Toncontín International Airport in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. 5 people were killed.

  • TACA is mentioned in Mexican's band Molotov song "Marciano", where it says: "Un marciano sentado en el ala en un vuelo de Taca" (A sat-down Martian in the wing of a TACA flight)
